Nigerian Artist Patoranking AT LAST Reveals The Story Behind His Stage Name


Artist Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, popularly called
‘Patoranking’ is one of the fastest rising acts in the Nigerian music industry at the moment. In a recent interview, he explained the meaning of his stage name ‘Patoranking’ saying, ‘Ranking in Jamaica means highly respected, and the short form of my name, Patrick is Pato, so it simply means highly respected Pato which translates to Patoranking.’ Before he Patrick rose to stardom,he was a dancer, and he also played football which he was very good at.
Although, he was unofficially with Timaya the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa’s Dem Mama Records after collaborating with Timaya on his hit song, ‘Alubarika.’ In February 2014, he signed a record deal with Foston Musik and released ‘Girlie O,’ the single that projected him to prominence in no time.

Former Borno state governor Alimodu Sheriff, who was accused by Australian Boko Haram negotiator Stephen Davis of being a sponsor of Boko Haram, held a press conference which ended a few minutes ago where he addressed the accusations.
