Some fraudsters have started profiting from the Ebola Virus Disease outbreak in Nigeria. As we speak, fake Ebola Cassette Test kits are now on sale in Lagos. In view of this, the Lagos State Government on Tuesday alerted members of the public to the sale of the fake kits, warning them not to patronise the dubious marketers. According to a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Mr Hakeem Bello, “ the Ebola test kit, which is branded as ‘Rapid Response Canada with test results purportedly available in 10 minutes’ is a hoax.” Bello warned that there are no Ebola test kits manufactured anywhere in the world, as the technique for its manufacture does not exist yet.

There was confusion on Tuesday on whether or not the outlawed Boko Haram sect had overrun Bama, a town 70 kilometres from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. Fire has raised about 40 apartments at the Ijeh Police Barracks in Obalende Lagos state PM News reports. The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be determined This is the same barracks that a police officer died on Friday August 29th after he was pushed down a building by his wife during a fight. The officer died before getting to the hospital while his widow is still in the intensive care unit of an undisclosed hospital.

"My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable. Thank you for your continued support,” Melissa said.
